At Block3 Finance, we deliver comprehensive accounting and finance solutions to high-growth Web3 companies. We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Senior Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex financial reporting, leading monthly and year-end close activities, and ensuring seamless finance operations for clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled accounting professional to take on a leadership role in shaping financial strategy and process within a dynamic environment where finance and technology intersect.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full cycle accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, and financial statement preparation using IFRS with complex note
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of financial reports, working papers, and variance analysis
  • Manage the preparation of complex tax filings, sales tax, corporate returns, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Serve as a point of contact on CFO and accounting mandates, responding to client inquiries promptly
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing leadership on accounting best practices and process improvements
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives, working closely with senior management to develop strategic financial plans and projections
  • Perform other ad-hoc projects and analysis as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and a CPA designation
  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting, audit, and/or tax preparation experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • In-depth knowledgeable accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Proven leadership and mentorship skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

In this role, you will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, support monthly reporting cycles, contribute to tax preparation and compliance efforts. Responsibilities:

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end financial close activities, including the preparation of financial statements, variance analyses, and cash flow reporting
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including tracking invoices, payments, and reconciling credit card transactions
  • Support the development and implementation of financial tools and controls to improve process efficiency and accuracy
  • Contribute to budgeting process, aiding in financial planning and forecasts
  • Analyze and report on financial performance metrics, providing key insights on cost optimization, cash flow, and operational efficiencies to support decision-making
  • Perform other ad-hoc projects and analysis as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and pursuing a CPA designation
  • 2+ years of full-cycle accounting or financial operations experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
